The Maritime Museum in Newport News houses the Monitor exhibit. Recreations of The Monitor and the Virginia, along with real artifacts from the famous Civil War era ships are on display. DW5D4335
This room has two recreated Monitor turrets. On the left is a cutaway of what it would have looked right out of the shipyard, and on the right is a very realistic recreation of the salvaged turret and guns. DW5D4319
