Wheat Field Sunset

A colorful rainbowed field just across the road from the Barn Number Seven shot (previous pic). There is a lot of this banding in farm fields in this region. I don't know the reasoning behind it, but it offers up an interesting visual effect. DW5D6175_1_medium_done.JPG

Canola Farm

We had been asking when we'd be able to visit something canola related instead of wheat and corn. Along this very small and out-of-the-way primitive road, we were treated to the golden canola. Along the back left horizon, you might see the wind farm in the distance. DW5D6139_1_medium_done.jpg

Four Deer in Canola

Not a very intentional shot. I was just setting up for this canola field with my lens still set in manual focus and an exposure for the other direction away from the sun when Randy Hanna yelled "Deer!" I hit the shutter without knowing where the deer were. Luckily, they were in the scene and in sort-of focus. Sometimes you just get lucky. Note: tractors made the swirls in the field - not the deer.
