Downtown Boise sports a different kind of art gallery in it's downtown that actually encourages graffiti. Locally known as Freak Alley, the walls of a block-long alley and an adjacent vacant lot (now a parking lot) are sectioned out to artists to apply their visions. Many of these murals are super high quality and well worth the visit if you are nearby. The above shows sixteen squares focuses in on twelve of those murals. There are about seventy seven total works of art, at last count. The gallery stretches from Eighth to Ninth Streets between Idaho and Bannoch. freak_alley_composite.JPG
