Trader Joe's S.S. Groovy Monkey banana boat and crew. This was our first effort in crafting a boat for the regatta and it was a total success right up to the point of placing it into the water. When the crew came aboard it quickly capsized and sunk. Groovy Monkey drowned, but was miraculously brought back to life. Oddly, we weren't the only banana boat. An almost identical design, number 71, entered and lasted a while longer but also capsized and sunk. Bananas don't make good boats. 1 of 3
